Patient Transport Service

Complimentary Patient Transport Service for residential families

We understand that getting around Brisbane can be challenging. That’s why we provide a complimentary patient transport service Monday to Friday, for our residential families. Our specialised 10 seater van includes a wheelchair lift for our children requiring this service.

This includes:

• Queensland Children’s Hospital transfers
• Airport transfers
• Grocery runs on request

Pre-booking is essential

Please note if there are no bookings pre-booked for a particular transport run, the run will not go ahead. To make a booking please contact the Childhood Cancer Support Office on 07 3844 5000. Bookings are subject to availability between 7:30 am – 2.30 pm weekdays.

Bookings are required at least 30 minutes before desired pick-up time.

Pickup locations

We pick-up from Childhood Cancer Support sites at Herston and South Brisbane, heading to the Queensland Children’s Hospital. We can also pick you up from the Queensland Children’s Hospital after your appointments, and drop you back home, from the Raymond Terrace bus zone area at the hospital (see map below).

Childhood Cancer Support operates two vans, one with wheelchair access.
