In 2026, Childhood Cancer Support marks an important milestone. Fifty years of standing beside regional families facing childhood cancer.
From our very first house in Brisbane in 1976 to the village of support that continues to grow today, one thing has never changed. Our purpose is to help families impacted by childhood cancer feel supported, connected and cared for when they need it most.
Across five decades, thousands of parents, siblings and children have found stability, comfort and a sense of belonging through our doors. This legacy has been built on compassion and community, made possible by the generosity of supporters, volunteers, sponsors and partners who have walked alongside families year after year.
As we celebrate this anniversary, we honour every family who has stayed with us, every story of resilience and courage, and every person who has helped shape Childhood Cancer Support into what it is today. This year is not just about looking back. It is about recognising the impact of 50 years of care and continuing to build hope for the families who will need us in the years ahead.
If Childhood Cancer Support has been part of your journey, we would love to hear from you. Whether you are a former family, supporter, volunteer or partner, your experience is an important part of our 50-year story.
Your story helps celebrate the past, honour the present and inspire the future of Childhood Cancer Support.

In 2026, Childhood Cancer Support marks an extraordinary milestone: 50 years of providing essential care, comfort, and community to families facing the heartbreaking reality of childhood cancer.
