Childhood Cancer Support was proud to be one of the official charities for this year’s Bridge to Brisbane event.
To show their support, local firefighters Steve Putland, Fleur Noll, Atlanta Bynon and Jessie Stanford took on the challenge of the 5km course wearing their full firefighting uniforms.
Together, the Queensland Fire Department raised over $3,400 for Childhood Cancer Support! Every step helped to raise vital funds for free accommodation, care and community to regional families who must travel to Brisbane for their child’s cancer treatment.
The Queensland Fire Department was one of seven teams and over 1000 individuals who nominated Childhood Cancer Support as their charity in the Bridge to Brisbane. Together, supporters raised over $24,000. Thank you to everyone who ran, walked, donated or cheered on the participants on the day!
